"Eriks roeiboot." Loo, Holland.

What started as a glorious day, ended very surrealistic.
Queens-day here in Holland is soo well known, as a child everybody
has fond memories of it, and as a grown up your enjoying all the fun stuff
or just your day free off, ... and now, now with the attack on our queen
that will be all different in the future, ... how things can change sooo rapid!


I couldn't stay in front of the telly and had to go out, ...

Last post from the bulb-fields.

I have to admit it wasn't that spectacular as it was last
year, but maybe it was my fold as well. I didn't know this
area as well as I did the area I was last year so you keep
on looking for the next field, and forgetting how nice this
field really is, ...

"Sails Arnhem." Arnhem, Holland.

Like a kid in a candy-store Kieth said yesterday,
how right he is!! Although it was VERY exhausting
all those people around you and the boats moving around
some of them even floated away to come back on a complete
other point, ... I ruined two paintings today, but
I gained two as well, ... and a great day!

I ended up with two paintings of boats who where
standing on stage, ...

"Op bezoek." Arnhem, Holland.

Today I had the urge to visit an old friend of mine,
he passed away almost two years ago, and his ashes is scattered on this place.

Every time I visit this spot my MP3 player plays the same song,
and every time I am getting the goosebumps, ... this time no less.
I am not so spiritual but this I find no coincidence

"Opmaak voor de show." Arnhem, Holland.

The skipper was quite ^$^$#@^%$# off that I had to paint this
side of his ship, ... hehehe
The other side was all in tip top scape, I asked if he was willing
to pay for NOT getting his ships name on the painting, he refused
we agreed that I would come back when his ship was painted.

Next week that is, there will be a monumental show of all kind
of old ships the so called "Kadedagen"

could call it summer, ....

I've got some comment that my paintings look a bit
underexposed I can't seem to get it right, maybe you
could help by commenting how much grey areas you can see
below the painting, ... it should be 14 including.(black&white)

"Drie bomen en een Cola." Arnhem, Holland.

A great day, .. what did i say? A great week!!
Spring is in full force, and i am already burned, ...

After a long time my first cityscape, and i started of
already with a new lesson, ... don't paint in front of a
bench in a park! People tend to sit down relaxed in the Sun
and keep watching you paint, ... bugger! (lol)

a pub and stayed on the terrace where I sketched a little
with Sepia and a matchstick, ... great fun!
