"No refund." Duiven, Holland.

This little subject is just beside a busy road between
Westervoort (my hometown) and Duiven, ...
Although no one is looking there are a few very
nice scenes to find, if only they would clean up
all the plastic bottles and other garbage.

"Where is spring gone?" Giesbeek, Holland

It seems that Sarah Wimperis is much more a weather-forecast for me
then our local weather forecast service, just look at her blog and you know
what weather we will get the next day or so,  .... Thanks Sarah!!

Although it looks quiet easy to paint it's very delicate to give it just the
right cool warm balance, ...

Even trickier is it when the mist is rising, you have to be soo aware
what you where going for in the beginning, ...

Btw. Sarah these are the floodplains who where full of water
just a couple of weeks ago.

"Geese field." Westervoort, Holland.

A 'waterig zonnetje' (Waterly Sun) they forecast it yesterday evening
so I had this house in mind only just from the other side with Sunshine
and cast shadow from the large tree on the walls, ... there was not
Sun at all! I did find this little spot with some geese holding a scarp
eye on what I was doing though.

"Behind De Horsterhof." Duiven, Holland.

A few day ago I received a Email about a farm nearby,
"De Horsterhof" a micro dynamic biological farm. I knew
it but I triggered me to have a look again, and together with
the marvelous weather (Sun is in full swing) it was a gorgeous
spot to be, ... looked around after while and discovered soo
much more spots so all in one,

I found a new spot!!

Thank you so much Corry.

"For ever." Velp, Holland.

Today I went to a graveyard in Velp, Normaly this site is closed for public but last winter I painted together with Ellie Wouda on the driveway of the keyholder of this grave yard. He pointed it out and offert us the key when we ever wanted to paint on this yard. It's a very ancient yard with lots of marvelous headstones, very peaceful and together with the awesome spring weather it was a great afternoon!

Again a great day in Doesburg,
I am starting to get a feel for this ancient town, finally!

in the middle of the town but very VERY quiet
and it has such a lovely feel to it.

"New grey." Arnhem, Holland.

These day are maybe the most UN-inspiring days in the
year, between two seasons I mean it's not winter anymore
but it isn't spring either, just a greyish continueation of time.

Hard to find a spot to paint, but a good practice nevertheless.
